Welcome to Code Zone!
I’m thrilled to work with your child this summer, and I can’t wait to teach them what I know about coding and problem solving, in a fun and enriching environment. I’m a Raleigh native who has returned home to start Code Zone, as a way to share a bit of my passion for computers and learning. This passion started when I took a class in Linux as a student at Southeast Raleigh High School, way back when. My journey led me to Stanford University, in California, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Materials Science and Engineering, and Northwestern University, where I earned my Ph.D. in the same field. My most recent experience as a process engineer at Intel has reiterated for me the importance of foundational computer skills to effectively solve problems through data and analytics.

In my free time, I enjoy challenging games of cornhole, traveling, photography, hiking, and spending time in nature.
